Celtic
Rose White Muscat
For those who have not had the pleasure yet of tasting our Gold
Medal winning Fortified Wine -
Celtic
Rose is a smooth dessert wine with honey
and
toffee notes, the result of aging in oak over
several years. It goes well with after-dinner
coffee and chocolate, any dessert based on
caramel, ginger or coffee, walnuts and hazelnuts
and isn’t bad either with a sharp cheddar or
blue vein cheese. Mind you, Terry enjoys his
with Bread and Butter Pudding.
375ml bottle $20.00 available at the cellar door or through mail
order. See Tasting Notes for order contact details

First
Gold Medal for ‘Hill of Promise and First Gold Medal for the North
Burnett
We have
always considered that the most
important feedback and accolades come from customers who purchase our
product and keep coming back for more, but recognition from
within the wine industry is like the ‘icing on the cake.’ Well, our icing
came in the form of a
Gold Medal for our White Muscat ‘Celtic Rose’
at the recent Queensland Wine Awards. This
win was made even sweeter with the Award
for Best Fortified for 2009. The Queensland
Wine Awards is a prestigious award scheme, recognizing top wines
produced in the Sunshine State over the past 26 years.
We were
thrilled for ourselves but equally
chuffed for the North Burnett District as this is
the first time a Gold Medal has been snaffled
by this region. We were not able to attend
the presentation in Brisbane in October last year, but we were extremely
proud to be ably represented by two of our adult children,
Elizabeth and Damien. Elizabeth is seen here collecting the Gold Medal
and Award at the
Awards Dinner on our behalf.
